| Wine Notes: | Bianco di Custoza is a relatively unknown Venetian DOC that specializes in white and sparkling wines. The principal grapes here are Trebbiano Toscano, Garganega and Tocai Friulano. Robert Parker Jr. said Cavalchina's 1999 [is a] light-bodied, refreshing, crisp, lemony custard-scented and flavoured effort. He said the 2000 possesses loads of personality, wonderful freshness, medium body and abundant quantities of citrusy/honeysuckle-like fruit. Expect more of the same in this 2002. Food match: aperitif, light-flavoured fish such as swordfish. (Source: Vintages, June 2003). |
